Since that moment, the story of my life has largely been about telling the story of others.

My time working for local media outlets didn’t end with “The Evening News”. In high school I was selected as one of five students from the DFW area to intern at The Dallas Morning News. My stories mainly focused on the local food scene in Dallas—a topic I am very passionate about.

This was my first taste of what it would be like to share stories with the public on a large scale, and the experience only deepening my interest in journalism and media. So when it came time to choose a place to spend the next four years, the answer seemed pretty obvious.

It all started with humble beginnings…i.e. when a (insert age) year old me scribbled out the first edition of “The Evening News” for my neighbors in Dallas, Texas.

In 2019, I started college at the University of Missouri School of Journalism. The first, and in my not so humble opinion—the best, school for journalism in the world. The University of Missouri (a.k.a. Mizzou) is known for creating some of the top storytellers in the biz, who graduate with real world experience and a web of connections known as “The Mizzou Mafia”.

My time at Mizzou was marked by truly one-of-a-kind experiences. Some of my favs include studying abroad in Barcelona, working on our Homecoming Committee, planning a school sponsored “Fight Night” (yeah, you read that correctly…a fight night), and working as an Account Manager at the university's premier student-staffed ad agency.

In May of 2023 I finally earned my stripes, graduating at the top of my class with Magna Cum Laude honors and a Bachelors of Journalism in Strategic Communication.

After college I moved back to Dallas, and began working as a Strategic Planner for the Mars Agency. My time with Mars has been out of this world (yes, pun intended). ADD MORE HERE!!

When I’m not working you can find me hanging out with my dog Alaska, spending time outdoors, or grabbing a cup of coffee from one of my favorite local spots. (P.S. if you’re ever in Dallas and in need of a caffeine fix, I highly recommend this guide written by a young, aspiring journalist)
